Biography
S. DeAnn Bomar joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers in 2003. Ms. Bomar was admitted to practice in Mississippi in 1998, and in Georgia in 2001. She practices in the firm's liability section and focuses on general civil tort litigation with an emphasis on mass tort defense, products and premises liability.
Specifically, Ms. Bomar is involved in the defense of manufacturers of a variety of products, including pharmaceuticals, automobiles and asbestos-containing products. She also represents industrial and commercial premises owners and contractors in cases involving claims of asbestos exposure and related illness. In addition, Ms. Bomar represents numerous other property owners/occupiers in premises liability litigation, ranging from restaurants and sports and entertainment venues, to individual homeowners.
Ms. Bomar received her B.A., cum laude, in political science from the University of Mississippi in 1995. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1997. While in law school, Ms. Bomar was a member of the Moot Court Board and placed first in the Moot Court Board's Oral Argument Competition. Ms. Bomar also studied abroad at the University of Adelaide in South Australia.
Currently, Ms. Bomar is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.

Interests/Additional Information
Ms. Bomar resides in a suburb of Atlanta with her husband, Spencer, their 18-month old son and their two dogs. Ms. Bomar enjoys reading, traveling, shopping, exercising and experiencing life with a toddler. She also has an interest in animal welfare and volunteers with an animal rescue group.
