Biography
Matt Jordan's practice is focused in the area of workers' compensation defense. He has represented numerous insurance companies, self-insured employers and third-party administrators in defense of workers' compensation claims as well as subrogation litigation against third party tortfeasors. Prior to joining Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, Matt worked with another prominent Atlanta firm and served as an Assistant District Attorney in Athens, GA. In addition to his practice with the firm, Matt is active with the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association. While attending law school, Matt served as the Chief Judge of the Trial Advocacy Board and was a member of Cumberland School of Law's National Trial Team. He was the recipient of the Papantonio Trial Advocacy Award, the James O. Haley Scholarship, and a Scholar of Merit Award for Advanced Trial Advocacy. In 2005, he was inducted into The Order of Barristers.
