Biography
John "J.C." Hillis joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, in 2008 and practices in the workers' compensation defense section. Prior to joining Swift Currie, Mr. Hillis practiced at another workers' compensation defense firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
In 1997, Mr. Hillis received a B.A. in History and Philosophy from Furman University. In 2004, Mr. Hillis received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. While attending law school, Mr. Hillis worked full-time for Delta Air Lines as a flight attendant.
After law school, Mr. Hillis devoted three years to practicing at Atlanta Legal Aid Society, where he represented low income clients in a variety of civil matters including consumer and landlord-tenant issues.

Mr. Hillis enjoys coaching youth soccer in his spare time. He has also completed two marathons.
