Biography
Benjamin Jordan joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, as an associate in 2011. Since 2008, Mr. Jordan has defended employers, insurers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims throughout Georgia. He has written extensively on a variety of issues affecting workers’ compensation claims, including death claims, the exclusive remedy provision, statute of limitations, transportation and translation, and Medicare compliance.
In addition to his extensive experience defending workers' compensation claims, Mr. Jordan handles federal and state subrogation claims, coverage disputes between insurers, and general liability claims. He also has experience in the areas of commercial litigation, multistate litigation involving insurance companies in statutory rehabilitation, civil rights litigation, personal injury litigation, domestic relations and criminal prosecution and defense.
Mr. Jordan received his J.D. from Georgia State University in 2006. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2003 with a B.A. in History. Mr. Jordan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Workers' Compensation Section and the American Bar Association.
